ENplus certificate - Quality benchmark for pellets

General

ENplus was first introduced in Germany in 2010. Since April 2014, pellet producers from Europe, Canada, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine and the USA have been producing ENplus pellets, providing more than 6 million tons of certified pellets, representing about 60% of the total number of pellets consumed for heating in Europe .

Recognition of ENplus pellets

The ENplus logo is used together with the identification number that appears according to the delivery form of the pellets on the bag or on the delivery note. All registration numbers are listed on the ENplus website. You can view the list of manufacturers that have ENplus certification in Serbia on the ENplus website.

ENplus – quality benchmark

New European standards for solid fuels came into force in 2011 to ensure that the same fuel quality is found throughout Europe. The standards are valid and applied for wood pellets and are marked with EN 14961-2. ENplus certification not only meets EN 14961-2 standards but also requires even stricter quality criteria. The ENplus seal of quality guarantees us low emissions of harmful gases with high values of the obtained energy.

Quality classes of ENplus pellets

The standard includes the ENplus A1 and ENplus A2 quality classes that are issued under the ENplus standard. Class A1 is a premium quality class and is used in private households. A1 pellet produces the smallest amount of ash and meets the highest requirements. Class A2 is used in larger installations and produces more ash. Industrial pellets do not carry the "ENplus" mark, but can be characterized as "EN B".

Most manufacturers have accepted ENplus and recommend the use of ENplus pellets and include ENplus in their product warranties.

ENplus certification does not cause high additional costs for producers and traders.
