WHAT DOES A SAFETY ADVISOR IN THE TRANSPORT OF DANGEROUS GOODS MEAN?
A dangerous goods transport safety adviser is a person who has a Certificate of Professional Qualification for a Dangerous Goods Transport Safety Adviser and who performs tasks in a public company, business association, other legal entity or an entrepreneur to ensure the application of regulations in the transport of dangerous goods, i.e. a person who has a certificate of professional competence and who has been designated by the employer to perform those tasks.
Who must hire a dangerous goods safety advisor?
Every company, whose activity is related to the transport of dangerous goods or in connection with that, packaging, loading, filling or unloading, must appoint one or more advisers for safety in the transport of dangerous goods (ADR adviser - for road transport).
The primary participants in the transport of dangerous goods are:
- Sender
- Carrier
- Recipient
and other participants in the transport of dangerous goods:
- Loader
- Packer
- Charger
- User of container tank or portable tank
- Unloader
- Transport organizer
- Provider of transshipment of dangerous goods
ADR ADVISOR SERVICES:
- Carrying out the work of a Safety Advisor in the transport of dangerous goods,
- Training of operators with dangerous goods in accordance with ADR regulations,
- Drafting instructions and giving guidelines for the correct marking of vehicles transporting dangerous goods and the packaging in which they are packed,
- Preparation of instructions and documentation for dealing with dangerous substances in accordance with ADR regulations,
- Preparation of the Annual Report of the Advisor for Safety in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (Goods).
