FSC standard

FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization, was established to promote responsible forestry on the planet.

The FSC certificate is a guarantee that the wood comes to the end user with a strictly followed chain, from certified forest, through processing and production. In English speaking, this is called CoC certification (Chain of custody).

The FSC logo sticker is a reliable link from the product in the hands of the end user, backwards, through responsible production and rational use of wood, to logging under the strict supervision of experts.

Example: An FSC sticker on a product means that every piece of wood embedded in that chair comes from a forest where there is no unplanned cutting, artificial genetic modification of the tree, leaving bare soil on which landslide or humus top soil may be washed away. ), or there may have been displacement of the local population for the forest to be cut.

Also, wood processing and production are strictly monitored to prevent the mixing of FSC certified timber with timber of unknown origin.
