Compared to ISO 9001:2008, the main changes are:
- The new standard is based on Annex SL - a new high-level structure (HLS - High Level Structure) that provides a common framework for all management system standards.
- A new management system format that matches the high-level structure.
- The need to understand the context of the organization and the needs and expectations of stakeholders.
- Emphasis on achieving additional value for the organization and its users.
- Stronger demands on leadership, involvement and commitment of management.
- Focus on risk management.
- Communication and awareness.
- Greater flexibility and fewer requirements regarding system documentation.
